LG G3 Stylus global rollout begins

LG went official with its new smartphone called the G3 Stylus late last month ahead of IFA 2014. The smartphone was a bit disappointing in some areas and isn’t going to be a competitor to the Galaxy Note line of smartphones. If you liked what you saw in the LG G3 Stylus, the good news is that the phone is set to debut in Brazil, Latin America, Central Asia, and other locations this week.

The big feature of the smartphone is the Rubberdium stylus pen that stores away inside the G3 Stylus smartphone. Using the stylus, the 5.5-inch screen accepts writing and sketching directly on the screen. The phone also has LG QuickMemo+ to let users take notes or draw directly on images or maps.

The LG G3 Stylus pen is also compatible with third party apps. On the rear of the smartphone is a 13MP camera with Touch and Shoot, Gesture Shot, and the phone has a front camera light. We already know the specifications of the smartphone under the hood, but if you missed them before read on.

The device uses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, has a 5.5-inch 960 x 540 resolution screen, 8GB of storage, and 1GB of RAM. A microSD card slot allows for storage expansion. Power comes from a removable 3000 mAh internal battery. Android 4.4.2 KitKat is the OS and the smartphone will come in black, white, or gold colors.
